my favorite building in Nacogdoches.

“Old Nacogdoches University.”  This building dates to the 1850’s.  Over the years, it has been used mostly for educational purposes, although it was used as a hospital during the Civil War.  I love the architecture–the docent told me that the architect was from Virginia, and you can see architecture similar to this at some Universities in that part of the country.   Good example of  architectural preservationists at work.
