This is one of six statues that line the esplanade at Fair Park.  One for each of the flags that flew over Texas.  This particular statue represents Texas.

Trivial fact– I own a painting of the Virgin Mary and a vintage 50’s ashtray; both came from the estate sale of the lady who was the model for each of these statues back in the early thirties.
