under the tower

I have been closing in on my niche in photography.  Urban, decay, rust, grafitti, that type of thing.  This water tower is all of that.  These towers are easy to spot, but harder to get to once you get close.  I was fortunate to be able to get under this one.  I love the ironwork leading up the side of the tower leg.  This pic will probably look better in B&W.

This complex is just south of downtown Dallas, and you can literally hear the destruction of this commercial neighborhood as you are standing there.  One block to the east, an entire warehouse complex from the turn of the century was being razed as I was snapping away at this.    This type of photography serves as a documentation of stuctures whose days are numbered.  These structures served their purpose and are giving way to modern structures.
