give me a high five.

I have always wanted to shoot this, and this was my first attempt. Got there at 7:15 this morning, temp. was 29.  Really cold in the shade.  Walked around for 30 minutes or so and got some great pics.

The “high five” as it is called, has become sort of an icon locally.  I think it is the largest freeway interchange project in the US? or something like that.  You see the green pylon in the pic?  That is one of over 700 that were made for the project.  It is the interchange of central Expressway and LBJ Freeway.  You stand in the middle of it, and it becomes this twisted, dynamic, fluid, complex of highways and pylons.  A great photography subject nonetheless.

Also, there have been several suicides from the uppermost flyways.

Kind of our Golden Gate Bridge in that regard.
