the Cathedral of Hope

Cool church located here in Dallas.  Its congregation is mostly gay/lesbian.

They raise the bar when it comes to architecture.  The 7-story bell wall in the background is a memorial to congregation members that have died from AIDS.  It was designed by the notable Texas architect Philip Johnson.  In the foreground is a new chapel, just completed this year.  Really interesting architecture there.  Reminds me of Frank Gehry, except with a white stucco exterior in lieu of metal panels.  I kind of got the feel of an igloo when walking around it.  You can see a door in the lower left of the picture; all doors and windows on this building are shaped like that.  Interesting.
